While the design may be reproduced no two will ever be exactly the same. This is due to the nature of the materials used. For instance, pieces containing artisan made glass pendants are by necessity one of a kind since each pendant is unique. The same goes for the quartz pendants with rutile or mineral inclusions. The silver charms, chains, pendants, fairy chambers and clasps made by Victoria are individually made so each is unique. Gemstones are inherently organic and unique.
What happens if a piece breaks?
Your satisfaction is our primary concern. In rare cases a piece may break so we guarantee our work for breakages that occur during the course of normal use. We will repair it free of charge – you need only pay shipping charges. If the puppy decides to use it as a chew toy… that’s another story.
Do you make custom pieces?
Absolutely. Just click on our email address, above, and describe what you are interested in – in what area would you like your new treasure to support you? e.g., Abundance, connection with Spirit, Nature, psychic development, etc. What are your color and size preferences? It’s helpful to measure the length of a piece of jewelry you already own to determine the size of your custom piece. Do you have any preferences with respect to materials – glass, gemstones, silver pendants, charms, talismans, etc.? We’ll get back to you with a time frame and price.
Can the pieces you sell be modified?
Yes, depending upon the modification requested. Please ask and we will do our best to accommodate your request. We want you to be pleased. The charge for a modification will depend on how extensive it is. Modified pieces are non-returnable.
Can you make earrings to match a necklace I buy?
As long as we have the matching materials in stock we would be delighted to make a pair of earrings for you. Let us know whether or not you wear pierced earrings, what your metal and length preferences are, etc.
What happens if I lose an earring?
Earrings will be replaced as long as we have the matching components. Please send us the remaining earring with a request for an earring replacement. This is important, as handmade beads vary a lot. The cost for an earring replacement is $15 plus shipping. We will re-make the entire pair if needed to ensure they match.
No, the Great Republic of Rough and Ready has a post office, a general store, a grange hall, a blacksmith shop and a wedding chapel. Sadly, no storefronts available for intergalactic, mermaid run, fairy managed jewelry shops. But I can’t help speculating on the effects a mother ship hovering above might have on weddings at the little chapel.
Is Rough and Ready a real place and if so, where on God’s green earth is it?
Reality is, of course, a state of mind but until someone can prove otherwise it’s real and so are we.
Rough and Ready is a gold mining town in the foothills of the Sierras about an hour and a half northeast of Sacramento, California. In 1850 the miners who founded the town objected to mining claim taxation and voted to secede from the Union. The Great Republic of Rough and Ready lasted as the world’s smallest nation for a grand total of 3 months. On July 4, acting perhaps on feelings of patriotism or, more likely, a desire to avoid missing out on the 4th of July festivities, the town voted to rejoin the Union.
We’re sitting on top of a lot of quartz and probably more gold than we know about. The leprechauns aren’t talking.
